If you have ever heard your grandparents or great grandparent talk about the great depression, then you have heard about how there was no money. Our great grandmother told us a great depression story about how she would buy something for one dollar and sell it in the street for two dollars. Sounds simple, and if two little kids can do it so can you. That great depression story is the premise behind how to make extra money during this poor economy.
All you need to do is find some nice items at the dollar store, dollar tree or .99-cent store. Then you get a booth or stand at a nearby Flea Market. You buy low and sell high, mark up the items you bought for one dollar for two or maybe even three dollars.
I have seen some items for sale at the dollar stores that other stores are selling the same product for a one or two dollar markup. Well if the stores are doing it then why can't you?
At the Flea Market you will have to pay a fee for your booth. When the weather is nice you can get a less expensive Flea Market stand outside to save even more money. One key note is that you will need to make enough money to cover all your costs.
A few tips for reselling items at the Flea Market. It is a good idea to have new inventory every two weeks for the reoccurring flea market visitors. Reselling dollar store toys should also help you generate a few extra dollars. Toys will draw children to your booth and then the parents can browse also.
If selling dollar store items seems too costly you can also try finding inexpensive garage sale steals to sell at your flea market booth. If that does not work out for you try it the other way around. Try reselling your dollar store items at a garage sale. The only drawback with reselling at a garage sale is that it would be a one-time thing and people will be looking for extreme bargains.
Reselling dollar store items at a flea market can make you some fast cash. If you keep your costs low and change your inventory you can keep making some cash on the weekends to add to your income. Those are some ways to make some fast cash with dollar stores and flea markets.

I remember a time in the late 1980s when many people lost their jobs for a few months and they turned to flea market selling. It was a family project for many and they did exactly as you say in your article. Good info.
