Make the Fabric Pinwheel
Note: See the online resource guide at the end of this article to learn more about Glubers.

1. Remove one side of the 2-inch Gluber backing.

2. Tie a knot in your fabric strip and place it in the center of the Gluber.

3. Start twisting your fabric into a spiral and press it into the Gluber around the knot.

4. Continue twisting and pressing until you fill the Gluber adhesive dot.

5. Tuck the remaining tail to the back side of the dot.

6. Set aside with the remaining backing still attached.

Decorate the 4th of July Goodie Bag

1. Use the red paper and cut out letters using a diecut machine, punches, or by hand. Alternatively, you could handwrite the letters onto the bag. Use 2-inch letters to spell "Happy 4th."

2. Add silver dots to the letters for extra sparkle.

3. Glue the word "Happy" down the front side of the white handled bag.

4. Glue the date "4th" to the bag.

5. Punch or cut out a 2-inch star from the red checkered paper.

6. Punch out a 1.5-inch star from the blue star paper.

7. Glue the blue star to the red star.

8. Glue the completed star unit to the white bag, just above "4th."

9. Use the silver pen to draw accents around the star unit.

10. Use the blue sparkle pen to draw little stars as a border around the entire bag.

11. Draw red lines on the candy stick.

12. Apply glue to the back of the candy stick and set aside for a moment.

13. Remove the remaining backing on the fabric pinwheel.

14. Align the candy stick so it rests under the fabric pinwheel and apply both pieces to the white bag in the upper corner.

15. Fill your 4th of July goodie bag with special treats.

16. Use a scrap of fabric to make a tie on the handles.
