Make Firefox Store Yahoo Password Using IMacros

This Trick Will Let You Login to the Yahoo Website with Just One Click

Rahul Jain
We all know that our browsers don't remember passwords for Yahoo! login (strange) even if we have our password manager enabled though it remembers them for any other website known website. This is the case with all the browsers. So where does the problem lie. The thing is that its not a problem its just a trick or rather a script that Yahoo uses to tell the browsers not to remember the login ID's and the passwords. They do it by turning the autocomplete feature off.
Its this feature that remembers out ID's and passswords.

My trick to make browser store Yahoo password has to do nothing with auto complete. I will be using an addon to type in the Yahoo ID and password instead of me. As simple as that.

Coming down to original topic.

You gotta have two thing before you start .

(1) Mozilla Firefox (which you can get here)
(2) iMacros addon for firefox (which you can find here)
To start with , iMacros is an addon that can be used to do a repetitive work like filling a form. Here we are going to use it for filling our Yahoo login box.

When you are ready with the above mentioned two things.

1. Click F8 to start iMacros.A pane in the left side will show up.
2. Goto the page (Either Yahoo login or Yahoo mail) whose password you want Firefox to remember. When it has completely loaded
3. Select the Record (rec) tab and press record. It will ask " go to the next step.would you like to close all tabs before recording? ". Press Cancel.
4. Enter your ID and password. and click on the " sign in ". It will ask " would you like to store your password encrypted? ". Select cancel.
5. Click on the sign in box again.( It is on this click that the it will Log in to Yahoo).
6. Wait for the Yahoo page to load completely.
7. Press stop button below the record button.
8. Click on save button if everything has gone right (which it would most probably go unless you are my sister).
9. Give it a name and tick on "open bookmark dialog".
10 A dialog box with configuration for your Yahoo bookmark will come up. Plainly select " select local add reference to your local bookmark ".
11. Select " add to firefox bookmarks " and you are done.

Test
Log Out of Yahoo! and go to bookmarks and select the newly created bookmark .You will see that you just have to see it logging in itself to Yahoo.
