Make and Give Some "Welcome Back, Baseball!" Goodie Bags!

Kate Baxter
Wow--at long last, the baseball season's here! So, why not celebrate by treating yourself and your fellow fans to a "Welcome Back, Baseball!" Goodie Bag? It's a great way to share the fun--AND have some game-watching treats on hand!

BASEBALL GOODIE BAGS

You will need:

Some small white gift bags with handles
Red glitter glue
Red and Blue tissue paper
Treats

To make your bags, draw red baseball laces on the outsides with glitter glue, and let dry, then stuff tissue paper inside bags to make a fan shape. (If you're not into crafts, then purchase some baseball-themed Easter baskets, available at your local grocery, drug, or party store.)

Fill bags or baskets with treats such as peanuts, Cracker Jack, Big League Chew, and tiny baseball-shaped foil-wrapped chocolate balls (try the grocery store or drug store). Or, for healthier choices, visit your market's organic foods aisle, and choose pretzels, nuts, dried fruits, or baked chips.

And, as an extra-special gift for your favorite fan, why not tuck in a couple of packs of baseball cards, or an inexpensive souvenir from their favorite team like stickers or pencils? Most grocery stores and retailers also offer MLB.com gift cards, which can be redeemed for lots of baseball-related merchandise!
