Make it Go Away

Toolbars for your internet browser can be great, if you use them often enough to make them worth your while, however, a lot of the time we install these toolbars only to use them once and never use them again. Perhaps you don't like all that extra stuff cluttering up your screen and just want it to be gone. Uninstalling toolbars such as Google and Yahoo are simple procedures that take less than a minute to complete. If you want to get that pesky toolbar off your internet browser follow these steps and you will have the process finished before you realize you even started .

Internet Explorer Users
Those using Internet Explorer as their browser of choice should follow these guidelines.

From your start menu select Control Panel. Once the Control Panel Window is open you will be given several choices. You will need to select Add or Remove Programs from the options. After making this selection a list of all of your active programs will populate into the window giving you the ability to remove the toolbar from your browser. Scroll through the list of programs until you find the toolbar you are wanting to remove. For instance the toolbar will be listed as Google Toolbar or Yahoo Toolbar. Selecting the item you want to remove and press the remove button in the right of the highlighted box. You will then need to restart your browser to complete the uninstall of your toolbar. It's as simple as that.

Mozilla Firefox Users:
Those using Firefox as their browser of choice should follow these guidelines

You will first need to open your Firefox browser. After the browser is open select the Tools tab at the top of the screen. From the drop down menu select the add-ons tab. Selecting this tab will open a window showing all the add-ons you have installed to your browser. From those listed select the toolbar you wish to remove. You will be given two options. If you want to remove the toolbar completely select uninstall/remove. If you just want to disable it because you may want to use it in the future select disable from the options. All you will need to do to complete the process is restart your browser.

Removing a toolbar that you seldom use is often easier than installing the toolbar. All it takes is a few simple steps and you will be free of the clutter on your browsers built in toolbar.
