Make a Home Made Valentine's Day Flower Arrangement

Things are always more special when they come from the heart and home made items do just that. Receiving a home made Valentine lets a person know that they were thought of in a special way while the gift way being prepared for them. They also feel more special, because home made gifts show you care. Here is how you can make your own Valentine's day flower arrangement for that special someone if your life.

ITEMS NEEDED: You will need a glass vase for this flower arrangement. You will need to see the contents of the vase, so be sure not to get a colored vase for this arrangement, it should be clear. Next, you will need a bouquet of flowers, roses are the best choice for a Valentine's day arrangement; however, you can use the person's favorite flower that the arrangement is for if you wish. Of course, for Valentine's day you should use pink or red flowers, but you could add any color if your would like. Once you have your flowers, you will need Valentine's day candies, such as red hots, to really make a statement. You could also use the little conversation hearts or even pink and red M & M's would be cute for this arrangement.

DESIGN YOUR ARRANGEMENT: Now that you have your supplies, start making your arrangement. First, simply put all of your candy that your chose into the vase. Next, you will need to arrange the flowers so that they fill the top of the vase and the flowers are resting right at the top of the vase and candy. You may need to trim the stems to do this. TIP FOR FLOWERS: Be sure to make this arrangement the day you will be giving it, since the flowers will not live too long because they are not in water. To make the flowers last longer, you could wrap the ends of the stems in wet paper towels, then place them in the vase first, then simply pour the candy in the vase around the stems. This will allow the flowers to get a little moisture and not wilt as quickly.
