Make Homemade Christmas Gift Baskets like Gourmet Gift Baskets

Purchasing Christmas gift baskets from companies such as Gourmet Gift Baskets is convenient. Gourmet Gift Baskets will create your Christmas gift basket and ship it in time for Christmas with one phone call. On the downside, this can be expensive. Some of us like to create our own Christmas gift basket for a personal touch. This article shows a listing of the items Gourmet Gift Baskets is adding to its Christmas-gift baskets this year. These ideas may help you to create your own, or you just may decide to order from Gourmet Gift Baskets.

To make these Christmas gift baskets, the first thing you will need is some wicker baskets. These sell for next to nothing at discount stores and garage sales. For an added touch, tie a Christmas bow on the handle.

The Gourmet Gift baskets holiday sleigh Christmas gift basket for $39.99 includes pecan crickle, chocolate, cookies, pretzels, malt balls and two servings of hot chocolate. It comes complete in a wicker basket sleigh.

The Gourmet Gift Baskets dashing through the snow Christmas gift basket for $49.99 includes peppermint bark, frosted pretzel balls, peanuts, chocolates, cookies, peanut crunch and hot chocolate. This Christmas gift basket also is a wicker basket sleigh.

The Gourmet Gift Baskets premium Christmas gift basket for $79.99 includes sweet Georgia brownie, honey mustard pretzel dip, pretzels, peanuts, Poppycock popcorn, Ghirardelli dark chocolate, chocolate covered cherries, English toffee, cheese, trail mix, mint chocolate bar, malt balls, peanut crunch, cookie brittle and white birch pinkhams nosh.

The Gourmet Gift Baskets deluxe Christmas gift basket for $99.99 includes everything from premium basket plus a few more items. The additional items include Allen and Cowley crackers, Northwood cheese and Stonewall jam.

The Gourmet Gift Baskets Christmas morning gift basket for $79.99 includes pancake and waffle mix, blueberry jam, maple syrup, blueberries, granola, biscuit mix, ham, coffee, orange cranberries, and a kitchen towel.

Other Christmas gift basket items: Milk chocolate Bavarian meltaways, smoked salmon, summer sausage, pecan shortbread, caramel filled shortcake, caramel nuggets, nuts and small world truffles.

One thing you have to calculate into price is shipping charges. Gourmet Gift Baskets is charging about $13.50 to $34.00 for standard delivery for one Christmas gift basket. This may be worth the price to some. For me it is a little too expensive and I will probably be making my Christmas gift baskets myself.

I make gift baskets for a fundriaser I do for National FOundation for Animal rescue. I get baskets at garage sales. I buy the plastic cellophane at Amazing Savings a dollar type store for only $2 a roll as opposed to $10 at The Party SHop. I look for brand new items at garage sales, china, placemats, pretty jars. The relly nice jars I use to make my own vinegars or bath salts to b put in the baskets and I combine thsee with the donated g.c.'s I get from all the stores around my area. For gifts for friends I'll put together baskets with a theme. kitchen, entertaining, movies, bath whatever.
