Make a Living with Associated Content: A Part Time or Full Time Income Completely Online

V. L. Hamlin
While browsing through forums a few months ago, I noticed people constantly asking if they can make a part time or full time income with Associated Content. Since I had only been playing around with it for a few months myself, I said why not figure out if you really can. Guess what? You can and it really doesn't have to be all that difficult. Below is what I have figured out. The numbers shown are averages only and do not represent what you will actually make.

The first thing I did was average the week days in one month. So, we'll say there are 22 "work" days on average. Associated content states that it will pay anywhere from $3-$20 per article they accept for payment. Deciding to be pessimistic I chose to guess I would receive only $3 per article.

Now, the most important thing is to figure out how much you need to earn for one month. For this example we'll say I need to earn $1,000, a part time income. Anything over $1,000 will be a bonus. Now, how many articles do I need to write to make $1,000? Here's the equation you should follow:

$1000 monthly income divided by 22 days of work = $45 you need to make each day

$45 daily income divided by $3 per article = 15 articles a day you must write

I know 15 articles may sound like a lot, but look at it this way, if you write about things you know, things you find interesting, you can write them all rather quickly. I estimate that I can write about 4 articles per hour IF, and this is a big if, I find them interesting and I know what I'm talking about. So, how long will 15 articles take to write based on that?

15 articles x 15 minutes = 225 minutes divided by 60 minutes per hour = 3 hours and 45 minutes

How's that sound? Work less than four hours a day and make a part time income?

Now, say you want a full time income. You want to give up the rat race and really work from home. Well in order to do that you ware going to have to "up the ante", you will need to write better quality articles and you will need to receive at least $5.00 per article. So, it's going to take you more time and a little more effort. But, hey, it's better than getting up at six am and rushing to an office an hour away from home isn't it?!

For this example we'll estimate you need to make $2000 a month, so follow the equation below:

$2000 monthly income divided by 22 days of work = $91 you need to make each day

$91 daily income divided by $5 per article = roughly 18 articles a day you must write

Now, I'm sure you are saying 18 articles a day? Holy cow, how will I ever do that? But you can! Let's say each article takes you 30 minutes to research and write...15 minutes of research and 15 minutes of writing...

18 articles x 30 minutes = 540 minutes divided by 60 minutes per hour = 9 hours

Here comes the bonus!

Associated Content offers a performance bonus. Each time your article is viewed they pay you! For every 1,000 visitors your articles receive, Associated Content will pay you $1.50. If you are writing 15-18 articles a day, five days a week, you will have roughly 330 articles at the end of the first month! If only three people view each of your articles a day, you will profit roughly $100 dollars at the end of the month for your performance bonus! The more people read your articles, the more money you can make!

Good article, the more we learn to write better and faster the more we will earn. I like that it is up to us to do more to earn more.

This totally makes AC freelancing for a living sound doable! I'm coming up on the end of a contract in a few months and might need to put this tactic to good use! Thanks for the info and encouragement :)

Thanks for sharing this!!! 15 articles a day is not all that bad especially if you don't have to work at some crappy job. Thanks for sharing!!!
