I make a good living on-line doing a combination of on-line surveys, mystery shopping, selling on Ebay , and writing on Associated content. I first figured out a few years ago that I could make a few hundred dollars doing surveys, and a few hundred dollars selling on Ebay, and a few hundred dollars selling books and products on Amazon, and a few hundred dollars selling ebooks, and few hundred dollars on Google Adwords and the variety made my working days fun and interesting, albeit long. However, as I'm a confessed Internet junkie and addict, I don't mind at all.
Now, if you're stuck in the "career" mode of sticking with one thing, or are a big believer in the almighty "Real Job" this will pass through your mind or be dismissed as tomfoolery. However, a career is just a word and artificial construct. When you buy groceries, all that matters is that you have the cash, and quite frankly, freedom, being able to pull out my laptop and make a few bucks sitting at Starbucks makes my daily life a living dream. I set my own breaks, spread my work throughout the day so I'm not confined to a rigid schedule, and don't have to worry about what my boss or co-workers think of me.
Think deeply, do you really enjoy commuting every day at the same time doing the same thing every single day? Haven't you ever dreamed of escaping it? In fact, is it that much less confining than communism? At least with communism you have more job security. I had one person tell me that a job was the most guaranteed way of making money? Oh really, have you ever heard the words "you're fired." That's all that separates you from no money.
No one can fire me. If I don't have any articles to write, I can sell some Cd's or collectibles on Ebay from either my drop shippers or from products I collect. If that slows down, I'll spend a day doing surveys while I listen to music lying in bed. At the same time, I am setting up affiliate links to other websites, spreading my linked blogs around the Internet, and laying the groundwork for a time when my affiliate payments will be coming in whether I work or not. Whether the market crashes or the banks close, my PayPal.com account is still there.
I can roam my community throughout the day with my laptop, or pad and paper to jot down ideas for articles that I will eventually turn into articles I will publish for cash. To key is not to focus on one program and to stay away from get rich quick schemes. Any site that has one page and has huge letters saying you can make thousands in a few hours a week, has testimonials and a video of some "guru" talking about it and requires a $47 payment, very often is a scam or close to it. However, survey sites such as InboxDollars.com, TikTikcash.com and SendEarnings.com really pay, as does Ebay, Associated Content, and affiliate programs through ClickBank.com. Just do one of each. If you like the idea of an eight hour workday, spend one hour doing surveys, the next writing articles, than the following posting a few items on Ebay, and so on.
However, one does not necessarily need a plan. Thinking you have to plan or you plan to fail doesn't work for me. Obsessing about a plan before you try new things can paralyze your mind and keep you from exploring the vast, limitless cash opportunities the Internet possesses with an open mild with childlike imagination and curiosity. I play it by ear, as it comes naturally along with the money. You can only do so many on-line surveys before you go nuts so when that happens I switch to writing an article. If I feel like I have to get out of the house or away from my computer, I have my accounts at mystery shopping sites like ShaddowShopper.com where I can take an assignment to go to the mall and make a few bucks pretending I'm a customer, and sometimes getting to keep products I buy and get reimbursed for them and I eventually sell them Ebay.
There's really no one method for everyone. Just dive in, and if you get addicted, great, because you're addiction will turn to cash and it's better than being addicted to drugs or alcohol, or selling them if you don't want a "real job".
