The Mvix MX-760 Wireless HD Media Center is not a flashy device because of its metal and plastic design. The front of the device includes a tiny LCD that will inform you of the various stages of the device along with the navigation buttons. The fully functional IR remote will give you easy access to control this Media Center. Navigating through the media folders are quite simple and it does not involve a complicated set of instructions that will lose you in the process. The included remote control is a nice, comfortable size that is extremely user friendly.
You will have the option of purchasing the Mvix Wireless HD Media Center with or without a hard drive. If you choose to purchase one without a hard drive, installing one is completely easy and will not give you an installation headache. Users will not have to worry about special installation skills or even tools. None of these are required to successfully place the hard drive in this unit. It involves you simply placing the the hard drive into the system and connecting the cables. In less than five minutes, you would have completed the entire process.. This unit is actually very versatile because installing a hard drive is not mandatory. You can plug a usb flash drive into it in order to access the mulitmedia files on your Mac or PC through an ethernet connection or wirelessly.
The next step to complete in order to get the Mvix Wireless HD Media Center ready is to connect it to your television. The unit includes composite audio and video cables, but you can purchase S-Video, DVI, or component cables to do the trick. After you have connected your television and power both devices on, press the setup button on the remote control to customize your settings. The built in networking feature makes it awesomely easy to get access to your multimedia files.
This is a splendid device to enjoy your favorite videos files on your television instead of PC or Mac computer screen. The video quality largely depends on the type of file it was created with. So don't think that this device will convert a crappy video file into a high definition one. That is not its purpose. However, overall you will discover how pleasurable your videos look on your television set. You will be able to comfortably sit on your living room sofa with the rest of your family for some much needed entertainment.
