Make Money on Associated Content the Very First Week

Tips for Getting Published Right Away

Dana Barnett
I admit it. A week and a half ago I had never heard of Associated Content. I stumbled across it by accident after deciding that I was going to devote the rest of my summer off from law school to writing articles and short stories. Someone posted a question on another site asking how to become a freelance writer and someone else answered by suggesting that he try Associated Content to get his foot in the door and build up his portfolio.

I looked up Associated Content and was immediately intrigued by the idea that I could actually get paid for writing articles of my choosing about subjects that I am interested in. Other online article writing jobs that I have applied for just give you a list of boring topics to write about.

The very first night that I visited Associated Content, I began writing. My goal was to turn in twenty articles over the next seven days on various topics. I succeeded in my mission and wrote four articles per day, taking two days off when I went out of town.

Five days after submitting my first articles, I received my first offers. I submitted my articles exclusively and I was pleasantly surprised by the amounts that Associated Content offered me. As of today, I have submitted twenty articles and eighteen of them have been reviewed. So far, I have received thirteen offers and five rejections.

In my first week writing for Associated Content, I have made $60 and I have still have two more articles to be reviewed. Although I am certainly not going to get rich on $60 a week, the extra income is nice, plus, it's quite a thrill to see your work published.

I am a believer in Associated Content after only one week and I feel that I have done pretty well. So for anyone who is new to Associated Content, I will share my strategies for getting published and making money the very first week.

1) Submit things you have already written

Since I have written so many research papers in college that are just sitting on my computer, when I saw that Associated Content accepted college research papers, I decided to put some of them to good use. I often researched online when I was writing these papers, so maybe my papers will help others when they are writing theirs. Submitting articles, stories, or papers that you wrote a while back might earn you some money and it's easier than writing something from scratch.

2) Write articles on a variety of topics:

I didn't know much about Associated Content when I first started writing, but after reading the tutorials, I decided to write about a lot of different topics in order to discover what kinds of articles Associated Content was looking for. Do not write twenty articles on the same subject, or you will be extremely disappointed if you receive rejections for all of them because Associated Content is not looking for articles in that area. You will have wasted your time and will probably be discouraged.

3) Research your topic on Associated Content

Before you begin your article, search Associated Content to find out how many other people have written articles on the subject. If there are a lot, try to put a different spin on the subject and be original. Although I was a little hurt when five of my articles were rejected, after reviewing them, I realized why. They were too generic and there were a lot of other articles like them on Associated Content. If I had researched the topic prior to writing the article, I would have saved a lot of time.

These strategies have worked well for me during my first week of writing for Associated Content. You really can make money here. I did it and you can too!
