Make Money Chain Letter Schemes

Storm Jackson
If your reading this, you have no doubt received a money making chain letter in the mail. The most popular one going around right now is the "as seen on Oprah" chain letter. These type of letters arrive in my mailbox every single month. The letter promises that you will get rich in just a few months. The claims that the person sending the letter has made $20,000 or $100,000 mailing out the chain letters, is nothing but a lie. Do not believe these letters!

The best thing to do is throw these letters in the trash. A chain letter is illegal no matter what claims are made inside of the letter. The originator claims that due to certain postal codes, this makes the letter legal. This is not true. If the post office authorities find out you've been involved in an illegal chain letter, it's possible that you could be fined, imprisoned, or both.

The only income that is made off of chain letters, is to the person who created the chain letter. Sometimes an individual who creates a chain letter might be able to make a little bit of money before he or she is caught. Getting on the third spot in the chain letter list, usually never pulls in any more than a few dollars total. This is even after sending out 1,000 of these chain letters. Chain letters will only lose and cost you money. They will never generate you any cash. The mathematical examples given in the letter are actually impossible. This is another reason why they don't work.

One of the reasons why chain letters get sent out, is because some clever mailing list companies actually send them out. If you look in the letter, you'll see a mailing list company listed. This mailing list company is probably making a lot of money selling the lists to people. Think how many people actually try this, and buy the mailing list. The only person or company making any kind of money off of the letter, is probably the mailing list company, not the people sending out the letters. If you get a letter with a mailing list company in it, remember they are making money and you won't.

In some older versions of chain letters, the person involved in the program was to get copies of the letter from a printing company. Your name and address would be added to the letter for a fee. The printing company could care less that you're not going to make any money mailing the letters, because they make their profit with their printing services.

The next time you get a letter that says you can make a million dollars and it has been seen on Oprah, do not believe it. If you do believe this trick, you'll waste hundreds of dollars. Save your money and toss it in the trash.
