Make Money Freelance Writing for EHow

Freelance Writing for Ehow.Com And Make Money Online

Marie M. Daniels
eHow.com has been around for a while and it is a money making content writing site similar to Associated Content. There are several differences between the two though. For one thing, many seasoned freelance writers note is that eHow does not pay any money upfront for your articles. While this may mean less money at the beginning it could mean more money in residuals or writing royalties. There are many freelance writers making money online and even a full-time income just from writing at eHow.com.

I had signed up to make money online by writing for eHow.com and wrote just one article. The article I wrote at eHow was seasonal and was published too close to the holiday. That meant I did not receive many page views or much money from that article. It was much easier for me to publish elsewhere because I was not fond of the step-by-step form of the articles. I was already earning money freelance writing with Associated Content so I decided to focus my writing there.

EHow Has Money Making Potential:

Much later I decided to give eHow another go and published a few more articles there. It is true that some topics just do not do well with freelance writing online. There are other writing topics that can make you money if you use the correct keywords that align well with the ads that they use. I have been pleasantly surprised with the results this time around.

I believe the freelance writing money making potential is high with eHow. There are people searching all the time on how to do this or that and eHow.com is somewhat of an authority site. If someone wants to learn how to do something eHow will come up in the search engine multiple times and they can even watch videos to learn how to complete their projects.

It appears to me that the best performing articles on eHow are the how to crafts and how to do it yourself (DIY) improvement projects. Time will tell how much money can be made with these topics on eHow. Just like any other freelance writing site different articles will perform better than others.

The points that you see under an eHow contributor profile means just about nothing and are not related to how much money you can make. Although if you are at the highest level, Authority you are more likely to be making more money from freelance writing than the ones who are novices. The way to get your eHow points higher is to write more articles and add pictures to those articles.

Making friends at eHow is a rewarding mission. I have enjoyed recommending many of the freelance writers at eHow. You can also leave little notes for your friends. Commenting on your friend's articles often results in them returning the favor, which means more page views and more money making ability for you. I would recommend freelance writing for eHow.com if you would like to make money online and make some writing friends.

I am not into crafts or DIY projects, so I think I would have a hard time at eHow.

I write for eHow, but thru Demand Studios - so it's flat rate vs. revenue share. Cheers, great article!
