Make Money Off of Cyberbegging? Really????

Cathy Pelekakis
I read an article a while back that there were sites on the internet that promoted individuals to cyberbeg. I know that when I would drive home from work there were always at least four or five panhandlers standing on the corner traffic signals with their signs up that said they were homeless and needed help. Most of these people looked like if they put a little effort in and cleaned themselves up they could get a job and earn some money. I am a cynic, I know.

Because of the article I read I wanted to see what cyberbegging was about. The site that I visited was called CYBER BEG, and it is located at http://www.cyberbeg.com. According to the site as of today over $20000 has been donated. I read some of the stories and most of them were self centered and from lazy people.

There were a few that sounded legitimate, like the one with the lady whose husband left her and she is about to lose her home, that sounded legitimate. THen there were the ones that just wanted money to do a BOOB job, give me a break. I work for my money, yet I will donate when I see that someone else who has tried hard and is making an effort may need a helping hand. I would not give a dime to someone who just wanted to enhance her figure, geez get a job that is what most people in this world do.

Just do not know how to take some of those sites. When I read the instructions, out of curiosity, they are buying a six month subscription to be able to post and in order to post they need to pay a fee.

I understand that many people sometimes fall on hard times and become desparate, and in some of those articles and postings I could see a geniune need. For those you have begged, it must be difficult to imagine yourself in that position. It is sad.
