Make Money Online - 6 Websites that Pay Writers

How to Get Paid for the Words You Write!

Dave Ickes
Is it really possible to make money online by writing? Yes it is, and I am going to show you how. When you write with these resources that I gave, you will make money right away for the work that you do. There are several ways of making money with your writing skills. You could write articles, put them on a website, and use Google ad words. This method works, but it takes extra effort and time. Another way of making money by writing is by using the online auction sites like eBay or Yahoo. It is obvious that these also require extra effort in extra time. Both of these methods will generate income. We'll discuss these techniques in future articles. I want to concentrate on how to make money fairly quickly using your writing skills.

Associated Content -- www.associatedcontent.com
This is the site where I write and submit most of my articles. The pay for articles here is between $3 and $20 per article. They are free to join. If you write on the subjects that are most in demand, you will make the most money. At this time, they are for US residents only. A turnaround time for acceptance is about five business days. The time for payment is about 3 days. That means that after you have submitted your article and accepted their offer, payment will happen in about 8 days. I have found that when they are busy, it takes longer.

SSWUG.ORG -- www.sswug.org
These people pay a minimum of $20 per article. The topic selection is not as broad as associated content and tends to be of a technical nature. If one of your articles becomes popular, you will begin to receive royalties from it. Like Associated Content, there is no fee to register. If you are technically oriented and can write about technology, this would be a good place to research.

MPAM - 10000hits.net
This website is based in Australia. The owner of this website puts up web pages with articles on them. He also includes Google ads. He has many websites and needs lots of articles. He can't write them himself as he doesn't have the time. He pays only five dollars per article, but he has a huge need for a wide variety of subjects. The downside to this site is the $30 a month membership fee. He will give you the first month free. So it's still worth checking out.

Jungle Page - www.junglepage.com
"JunglePage will pay you competitively for your expertise in writing essays, book reports, college entrance essays, scholarship essays, and in offering proofreading services. Writers can make upwards of $750 or more per week", Jungle Page recruitment page. There is an application process, and you must submit an example of your writing. There is no fee to join. This tends to be a seasonal business that coincides with the school year. April, May, and June seem to be the busiest months.

Write For Us - www.developershed.com/writers.php
"Payment for articles varies. We pay a premium that depends on factors such as the quantity of articles you write, the frequency of your submissions, and your qualifications. We also include special incentives to writers who receive positive reviews and can promise a high number of articles per month.", Write For Us recruitment page. This site is also free to join. Several downsides can be found here. One is the topic selection is narrow, mostly computer oriented. The second is the articles have to be a minimum of 1500 words.

Freelance Writing - www.freelancewriting.com
The home page has hundreds of links. All of them pertain to writing and writers. You don't even have to register. At the top of the main page, there is a link that says 'freelance jobs'. If you click on it, you will be taken to a page with literally thousands of jobs in a number of different categories. If you can think of a topic, you'll be able to find it here. Your greatest challenge at this site is deciding which job you wish to pursue.

With these resources, you should have no trouble easily making $300 - $500 a month from your writing. With more effort, $1000 a month is very possible. What are you waiting for? Get moving and begin your research, choose a project, pick up a pencil (does anyone do this anymore?), and write.

Freelancewriting.com looks especially promising. I might have misunderstood, but with junglepage, you're just writing papers and having students pay you so they can say they wrote them?
