Whether you make can beads, focal beads, or any other type of beads from polymer clay, you should have no problems selling them on eBay, if you know what you're doing. You can make the most awesome beads in the world, but know one is going to buy them if they can't find them. Your biggest job with selling on eBay is to write your listings correctly, so the buyers will see them.
Most buyers on eBay use the search function when looking for items to buy. It is no different with beads. Make your title descriptions count. If your beads are one of a kind pieces, put "ooak," or "one of a kind," in the title of your auction listing. Don't use any filler words to make your titles look nice or more readable. This is a good title: " OOAK polymer clay focal bead animal frog" . This title, for the same frog bead, on the other hand, sucks: " cute frog bead, must see! LOOK!"
Put every descriptive word in the title you can think of, that your buyers might type into the search box, and use all the space you can.
Another way to make more money selling your polymer clay beads on eBay is to gain a following. How do you do that? Always be consistent with your auctions. Keep your titles the same, use the same selling template, anything that will make your buyers remember you, apart from the other bead sellers. Be friendly with the buyers you get, and alway package your beads well and ship promptly. Take care of any problems that may occur immediately, and in a professional manner.
Once you start to get regular buyers, they will be the ones you need to make happy. They will be the most likely to start bidding wars, which is what you want to happen, because that's how you make the most money. Regular buyers become collectors of your polymer clay beads, and will try to outbid other buyers, especially other regulars.
Send personal notes to your winners, when you ship your beads from the auctions they won. Thank them for bidding, and for liking your work. Offer them discounts on shipping, or other benefits for being a regular bidder. Send extra beads as a bonus occasionally.
Making and selling your polymer clay beads on eBay can be fun as well as profitable. I have seen simple, easily made beads go up to twenty bucks or more at times. If you can create original, interesting beads out of polymer clay, then you have a good chance of making some serious cash selling them on Ebay.

Post a CommentHow many buyers do you think would use the term "OOAK" in their search for beads? Most people do not even know what that means.
It's a waste of valuable space in a description to use OOAK, and looks very amateurish.
