Make Money While in College

The majority of college students would like to increase their cash flow. Having a normal part-time job is not an option for many college students, in between having a different schedule daily throughout the week, night labs and exams, their schedule not only changes day to day but sometimes hour to hour. There are several ways that college students can earn extra cash their own schedule and by putting in as much effort as they want.

1) Plasma

Plasma donating facilities are common in college towns and by donating plasma people can earn between fifteen and forty-five dollars for each time they donate plasma. It is similar to donating blood, it takes approximately an hour and the blood is then centrifuged, the plasma is removed and the rest is returned to the blood stream. There are certain criteria that a donator must meet in order to be eligible donate and these criteria can be different depending on the location at which a person would like to donate. The plasma in a person's blood is naturally replaced in approximately every twenty-four hours; this is why people can donate plasma up to twice a week. Most locations take walk ins and it only takes about an hour each time, so donating plasma is a money making opportunity that works well for busy and active students.

2) Writing

Writing short articles and step-by-step instructions online, is a way to make money without investing much time. Sites such as associatedcontent.com offer upfront payments for submitted articles and performance payments that are related to how many times an article are viewed. This is a great option for busy students that do not have several hours in a row to have a job. Once the time to write an article is invested it continues to provide a source of revenue for the author.

3) On Campus

Most on campus jobs are more flexible then off campus jobs. By having a job on campus, travel is limited and some of the job opportunities are directly related to a students academic program, these opportunities look amazing on resumes.

4) Research

This might sound crazy, but at most universities there is constituently research being done on an endless topics. There are two ways to earn money in regards to research at universities. First, my apply to and completing a research project on certain subjects students can receive a stipend and invaluable experience in there field of study. Second, many research projects look for volunteer subjects and most are reimbursed for their time.

5) Sales

Avon, Pampered Chef, Passion Party, Candlelight, Mary Kay; these are just a few of the many sales opportunities the college students can be come associates for in order to make some more money. The key with sales is that a student has to be dedicated and motivated to the products and to sales in order to make a profit through direct sales.
