Working just like digital cameras, night binoculars have infrared illuminators and built in flash. These binoculars use two different technologies - infrared and thermal imaging for getting the images. The Infrared pad up the lights invisible to the common man and the thermal imaging technology makes use of the heat that comes out from objects.
There are also night binoculars which make use of the latest technology. There are generation 1,2,3 and 4 night binoculars that are more sophisticated than the other ones. When the sky is full of stars or if it is a full moon day, Generation 1 is the best option. If cloudy, the Generation 2 night binoculars can be used. If much darker, the Generation 3 and 4 are the best.
Most of the night binoculars use 5 x magnification. These night binoculars can be used in all weather conditions, be it fog or rain.
The price varies from size to size and the smaller night binoculars are more expensive. Before going for night binoculars, better search the market and the Internet to get an idea of the prices and the various brands. Make sure that your night binoculars are powerful and which gives a clear image even if it is pitch dark.
