Follow these steps to create your own spectacular Chinese New Year's greeting cards!

Chinese New Year Ox Greeting Card Materials: Red Construction paper

Chinese Character for Ox

Glitter

Glue

Scissors

Printer

Step 1: The first step you will need to take is to do some research and find the symbol for "Ox" in Chinese characters. Once you've found the symbol, paste it into a paint program such as Photoshop or Picture Studio so you may enlarge it. Make sure you enlarge it to the exact size you want, this will be fitting either in the inside of the card or on the front, wherever you decided.

Step 2: Once you have the image enlarged, proceed to print it out and set it to the side. In the meantime, get your piece of construction paper and fold it in half vertically. Make sure you have a deep crease in the paper so that it doesn't flap back open.

Step 3: Next you have to decide where you want to put your Character symbol. If putting on the front of the card, trim it so it looks professional and paste it. If putting it in the inside of the card do the same steps but paste it slightly either to the left or right side.

Step 4: Take your glue next and spell out whatever words you want on the front of the card. Make sure not to use a glue stick as it doesn't put out enough glue. Once you have your letters traced out in glue, quickly add your glitter before it dries. Turn the card back and forth to shift the glitter around on the card. Wait until it dries, then you're done!

Chinese New Year Collage Card Materials: White Construction paper

Black marker

Scissors

Chinese Themed Magazine clippings

Glue

Step 1: You are going to be creating a horizontal card so the first step you must take is to fold the construction paper in half. Even if you fold it in half the vertical way, you can simply flip it horizontal.

Step 2: Once you have your card folded, grab you Chinese Themed Magazine and begin making clippings of all the images you want. Make sure you trim them just right so they will all be able to fit together in a smooth collage.

Step 3: Once you have all of your clippings arranged how you want them on the front or inside of the card, grab your glue and begin to make them stick in place. Do this with the entire card until you have it exactly as you want it.

Step 4: Wait for all of the pictures to dry on the card before you take the black marker and write on the inside. You have the choice of writing wherever you didn't put pictures, this can be the front, the inside or the back! Enjoy your Chinese New Year greeting card!
