Make Your Own Easter Basket

Cathy Pelekakis
Easter is right around the corner, and many people will be going to the store to purchase premade Easter baskets for their children. In my household we have always made our own baskets. We would head for the dollar store to pick up the woven baskets, and grass and most of the candies. We would make sure that we had decorated colored hardboiled eggs to include in the baskets. Here are a list of stuff you should include in your Easter Basket

1. Peter Rabbit Bunny
2. Depending on the age a stuffed bunny or small toy could be included
3. M&Ms
4. Skittles
5. Hershey's Kisses, they have these wonderfully colored pastel wrappings for Easter adds color to your basket,
6. Marshmellow Bunnies or peeps, yellow, white or pink.
7. Laffy taffy
8. Jelly Beans
9. Kit Kat bars (small bite sized ones)
10. Push Pop's

Assembling the contents of the basket are not hard, just make sure that it is colorful and full for the children, don't forget to eat some yourself.

I don't like peeps either! And I'm allergic to milk so my basket always had skittles and jelly beans for the snack and a stuffed animal and a book. Ah, those were the days! Good tips!
