It's time for all of the graduation plans to get underway. Planning a graduation party can be a costly venture, but it doesn't have to be. You can easily make your own banner and some other decorations. There are some very fast, and very easy ways to make your own decorations for graduation. The easiest to start with is of course the graduation banner. There is always the choice in making the banner on the computer. In which case all you need is a word processing program that has a banner template and paper. But I think in this case something completely made by hand is more fitting.

You will want to go to your local art supply store and select the paper size you want. While your there pick up anything else you think will be a nice decoration on your banner, glitter, scrap booking trinkets anything that will go with your party theme. Markers or tempera paints are the best way to put the wording onto your banner. Once you have made your trip to the store your banner is effortless to make write or paint on your message than set the banner aside to dry.

While your banner is drying you may want to think of some other decorations to put up. Balloons and streamers are always popular. You can easily make your own chain link streamers by picking up a pack of construction paper and some glue sticks. Cut the construction paper into equal strips; put a dab of glue on the end of the first one and press together to form a ring. You create the following rings the same way, but add in the step of looping the paper through the previous ring before hand. Repeat this until your chain is as long as you want it.

Once the banner has dried and you have some of your other decorations made its time to add on your other pieces you picked for your banner. These should be little personal touches that match your theme and your graduate's likes. All of these steps, are simple fast and easy. The supplies can be picked up at any local art supply store or craft show like Michaels. There is no reason your party has to have a high cost. Make your own decorations and have a little fun with it.
