Make Your Own Pinecone Kindler for Your Fireplace

Pinecone Kindlers Smell Nice and Make the Fireplace Light Up with Colors

Robin Vinci
Whether it be as a gift or for yourself, a pinecone kindler is a great idea for anyone with a fireplace. They can have a smell of your choosing and it burns for 20-30 minutes in various shades.

You Will Need:

Double Boiler

Candle thermometer

Paraffin wax

Candle color squares (red and green are most common)

Candle scented squares (cinnamon or pine works great)

Muffin tins

Non-stick oil spray

Candlewicks

Pinecones

Directions:

Put the thermometer in the double boiler and melt 1 lbs paraffin wax. Add one square of colored candle and one of scented candle. Mix with a wooden spoon.

Spray the muffin tins with non-stick oil spray. Put candlewick in tins, with part of it coming out one side.

Remove paraffin from heat and let cool about 5 minutes. Using tongs, dip pinecone in wax thoroughly. Repeat a few times until it is waxed very well. Place pinecones in muffin tins.

Pour paraffin wax about one inch into bottom of the muffin tins.

Let cool completely and remove from tins.

These are easy to do and look great in a basket as a decoration or as a holiday gift as well.
