On a cookie sheet roll one inch balls. Run a toothpick through the center and remove. This makes a hole for you to run the thread through the bead. Bake dough at 300 degrees.
Once the dough is baked it is paint-able. Just place dough on cookie sheet and bake for one hour to harden. Some dough may take longer to bake depending on size and shapes. Once dough is baked then take out of the oven and cool. Surface of dough is now paint-able. You can use tempera paints or watercolors when smaller children are present. You may spray a sealing spray like a Polly spray over your creations to keep them longer. Be careful with the sealing sprays around children they are toxic. Once paint dries you can run your string or yarn through the holes in the beads. Then you have created a necklace or Christmas tree garland. The ideas are limitless.
