Simple Ingredients that Promote Skin Healing

Joanna Ammons
Just Imagine, a proper combination of crushed flowers, leaves, or dried granulated herbs can create a healing mixture. If you have a skin affliction, you may find that a poultice may provide the natural remedy that you are looking for. In addition, it can be more helpful with targeted healing compared to over the counter or prescription creams.

Natural Youth Elixir:

This natural combination not only tastes good but also has remarkable results for creating soft glowing, young looking skin. All it takes is a peeled ½ of a banana mixed with ¼ cup of plain yogurt and one teaspoon of honey. Smash the banana and mix together the above ingredients. Apply on your face like a mask (avoiding near eyelids). Leave on for 20-30 minutes and rinse with warm water. You will immediately notice the youthful glow and feel the softness of your face. I have seen women leave this on for as much as one to two hours while resting and the results are even more increased after one use.

Minor Skin Burns or Healing Burns:

The Best Remedy for healing skin from a minor burn or treating non-open or broken skin from a burn is a simple two step process. First apply natural Aloe Gel over the area. Allow it to fully absorb in the skin. Next, take three drops of tea tree oil ( Melaleuca) to one tablespoon of cocoa butter or shea butter. Apply it over the area daily to remove dark skin and scarring.

Diabetic Feet Simple Foot Wash:

Diabetic feet become exposed to dangerous sores and skin eruptions when left soaking in water or from showering too long. Most severely diabetic patients cannot even properly wash their feet as a result of feet being so sensitive. This mixture gently cleans the feet and helps protect from infection. Steep two teaspoons of ground Hyssop Herb in ½ cup of boiling water for 10 minutes or until water turns dark. Strain and allow to cool. You may buy and use Hyssop tincture in a bottle if you do not have time to boil the herb. In an empty clean spray bottle use ½ cup of Hyssop and add 2 ounces of Colloidal Silver. Shake and keep in a cool dark place. You can spray lightly over diabetic feet. Allow to sit for no more than 3-5 minutes. Towel Dry. Make sure feet are dry completely before putting on socks and shoes.

If you have a diabetic wound, you can precisely spray over the wound area and leave on for 20- 30 minutes. Dry area gently with sterile gauze. These ingredients act as a natural anti-bacterial and anti-microbial mixture to help keep feet clean.

Natural Solution for Inflamed Sores

An herb called Slippery Elm may just do the trick. It is available in bulk form or capsule form at many health food stores. It is best to get the bulk herb or break open a capsule. Mix in warm water or any strong herb tea to make a thick paste. Apply to an inflamed sore and leave on overnight. By morning, you will notice an improvement in inflammation and swelling.

Natural Black Eye Remedy

Most people reach for cold red meat or an ice pack to place over a black eye. Shredded raw russet or Irish potato placed over an eye overnight can improve the swelling and bruising. The potato contains healing enzymes that cool and soothe the nerves. Potato poultices can best be used successfully on the skin in any area where there is bruise where the skin is not open cut open. Potato poultices are also often used on boils to draw the infection safely to a head.

Pain in Lower Back from Gall Stone

Often people suffering from gall stones have throbbing or sporadic pain in their lower back. Activated charcoal in bulk or loose capsule form can make an excellent poultice. In warm water make a thick paste of Activated charcoal; apply over area of lower back where pain exists. Cover with clean cloth, gauze or flannel. Apply low heat from heating pad to comfort. Allow to remain on for 3 hours or overnight. Activated charcoal is black in color; protect bed sheets and clothing not to get dirty. Use soapy warm water to remove the paste.

Most of these ingredients can be found in a grocery store. Other herbs and liquid solutions mentioned can be easily found at a local health food store. Our skin can absorb what we apply on it like a sponge. Commercial and prescription drug creams often get absorbed into the bloodstream. Most people do not realize we can expose into our body what we apply on our skin. I always recommend trying to find the most natural ingredients possible.
