The iPhone is one of the most popular phones and smart phones of all. People love their iPhone. You might already love your iPhone but there is a way to improve your iPhone so you will love it even more then ever. You an easily use songs that you already have to make your own ringtones instead of buying them. The best part is this is legal and free. You might think you have to be a computer whiz to make your own iPhone ringtones but it is not that hard most anyone can do it as long as they can follow the simple instructions below.

The first thing you will need to do is open iTunes. Listen to the song you want and find the part of the song that you want to use for your ringtone. Once you found the section you want write down the start and stop times this could even be the entire song if you want.

Now right click on the song and click on the Get Info option. Once you do that click on the options choice. There will be an area it says start time and you will want to write down that time in the box using a minute and second system like 1:30 for one minute 30 seconds. Next type in the end time in the stop time box. You can only have a 40 second ringtone so make sure it fits. Once you do that you can click ok.

Now right click on the song once more and select convert selection to AAC. iTunes will create a file and once it does you will have a duplicate which you can delete. Now right click the ringtone and hit the delete. Now click on the keep files button. Find the file under iTunes it will have a .m4a extension. Rename the .m4a to a .m4r. Now a pop up will come up and click on use .m4r. Double click the ringtone file and iTunes will automatically update it into your ringtones file. Connect your iPhone to sync the file up. Now you should have the ringtone of your choice. You can even make custome recordings of whatever you want and put them into iTunes so you can use them for a ringtone.

With this method you can get all the ringtones you want. You are only limited by time and imagination.
