Step1
Open your word document. Access the tool options menu. Click on "Tools" then click on "Options."

Open the security menu. Click on the "Security" tab under the tools options properties box that opens.
Step3
Set your desired passwords. There are two password fields, "Password to Open" and "Password to Modify." Click into either of these fields and type in the desired password.
Step4
Implement a password to protect your Word document. Click on "Okay" to add a password to open or to modify, or to do both, to your Word document. Done!
Remember. The hard thing to do after this, you must remember the password. Keep it on your mind or you can type and save it on a secret document. How when you forget the password? Well, be ready to find a password cracker that you can find on internet. If you can't find it, you may say goodbye to your document.
