Life lived with prayer is a life lived with hope, for in prayer, there is always hope. It is something hopeless people cling to, when all else fail, and when everything seems dull and dark.
However, prayer without faith and action is useless. These three must go together to create a more effective and powerful prayer. Prayer without faith and action is like just doing the first step in achieving a goal without continuing the next steps and still hoping that you did your goals and planned activities. It is like doing the assessment, then, leaving the next steps behind and just "whew, it is done, the patient recovered!" - You are just hoping for something to happen without doing anything.
Faith is necessary when you pray. It is necessary, for when you pray and you do not believe on the power of the Lord above you, it is not something good. People must be optimistic enough and shout the faith in Him in the hearts. We need faith to achieve a better output of actions. These three go along with each other, for the absence of one affects the whole.
Life lived without prayer, faith and action is like going to the battlefield with nothing on your side. Life is a challenge we must face, so to live it fully, we must be equipped with the right things in order to succeed in all our endeavors. Just like in my hospital duties and with many other task of a nurse, we must always bring with us proper apparatus and equipment to answer the needs of the patients and clients. In addition, to do our obligations, each session must be started with a nurse's prayer - accompanied by faith, the positive outlook, and action, on how we deal with the patients. It is not just applicable to nurses; it is for all the people in the world - may it be rich and popular, common and poor.
So, the next time you pray, accompany it with faith and action- that is just the formula.
You need to live life with God through prayers. A sincere and humble prayer could make things to happen and change it for the good. Then in God's time, you will see the wonders and miracles it brings.
