Step-by-Step Instructions to Make Pumpkin Halloween Treat Bags
1. Measure the width of the brown Kraft bag. The bag shown in the photo is 5.25 inches wide.
2. Cut a piece from the pumpkin paper to match the width of your bag and to be approximately 2.5 inches tall.
3. Cut a similar sized piece from the black paper.
4. Use the decorative edge scissors to cut the pumpkin paper and the black paper on the diagonal across the bottom. Refer to article photo.
5. Glue the black paper to the pumpkin paper so only a narrow strip shows.
6. Glue this unit to the top of the bag.
7. Cut a piece from the green paper to match the width of your bag and to be approximately 2 inches tall.
8. Tear across the top of the green paper so that it resembles a grassy patch.
9. Glue the green paper to the bottom of the bag.
10. Apply pumpkin stickers to the green paper.
11. Use the pumpkin stamps and black ink pad to stamp random pumpkins on the bags.
12. Use the Happy Halloween stamp and black ink pad to stamp the phrase once on the center front. If you do not have the stamps or ink pad, then write the words using a black pen. You can also draw the pumpkins using colored pencils or pens.
13. Cut a 12-inch length piece from the green raffia.
14. Tie it in a bow on one of the handles.
15. Write your name on the bag and have fun gathering classroom Halloween treats!
Options for Pumpkin Halloween Treat Bags
1. Make a design on the back side of the bag using extra paper and stickers.
2. Use colored bags such as orange or black in place of the brown Kraft bags.
3. Use black and orange glitter for accents.
4. Make a bag as a surprise for your teacher on Halloween.
5. Make these bags as a classroom activity prior to visiting the pumpkin patch. Use it as a teaching tool to explain to the kids what they can expect to see and experience during the patch visit.
6. Create these bags at a special Halloween trick-or-treat party to entertain the kids before the big event!
