Make a Quick and Easy Chocolate Pudding Pie
Make a Chocolate Pudding Pie for the Family or Unexpected Guests
Things You Need
Individual cups of chocolate pudding
Graham crackers
Cool Whip-flavored or plain
1. Use a spoon and scoop the chocolate pudding out of each cup. Put it into a mixing bowl so it does not spill on the counter. Do the same thing with homemade chocolate pudding.
2. Take the graham crackers and break them up into small pieces. For a finer taste put them on a wooden board and use a pie roller to crush them. This is going to be on the bottom of your chocolate pudding pie, either store bought or homemade.
3. (Optional) Melt a few tablespoons (depending on size of dish) of butter, and pour it over the tip and sides of the graham crackers. Press using the bottom of a fork until the butter blends into all the cracker crumbs. (see tip below)
4. Use a clean small soup ladle or a spoon to add the crushed or broken pieces of the graham crackers into a Pyrex plate on the bottom.
5. Scoop up the chocolate pudding and pour it over the top of the graham crackers. Top with whipped cream and add some chocolate or multicolored sprinkles or a cherry to make chocolate pudding pie look as good as it tastes.
Tips
*Follow the directions above and use cooled down homemade chocolate pudding instead. Place into the refrigerator to chill and set.
* To make individual portions, add the graham crackers, as described above, into small Pyrex dishes. Top with whipped cream and a cherry or sprinkles or chopped nuts.
*Scoop the pudding into empty ice-cream cones that have a flat bottom. Add toppings and serve at a child's birthday party instead of buying an expensive birthday cake.
* It is faster to sprinkle the dry cracker crumbs on bottom of the pie plate without adding melted butter. It tastes just as good and it is quicker and less messy to make.
*Use any flavor pudding instead of only the chocolate and make it the same way.
*For a different look and taste, blend a few flavors of pudding instead of using only the one.
