Everyone gives away some type of favor to their guests at their wedding reception. These little boxes that you can create yourself can hold small candies or other small gift items for your guests and help with the budget by making them yourself. Here is how to make your small favor boxes.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

First you will need small boxes that are flat and can be folded and made into boxes. These boxes only need to be about 2 inches square once they are folded up. You can find these types of boxes online or at craft stores. The boxes can be colored or not colored. If your boxes are uncolored, you will need to decide what color you want them to be and get spray paint in that color. For instance, you could make them gold or silver, to make them look fancy, or you could paint them another color that matches your wedding colors.

Next you will need white ribbon, you could get fancy white ribbon or simple white satin ribbon. Finally, you will need round scrapbooking letters. The letters should be on the center of a round sticker and be somewhat fancy, they should also be white so that they will show up against the painted boxes.

DESIGN YOUR FAVOR BOXES:

First you want to paint the boxes on both sides. Once the boxes have dried, you can put them together. Place a sticker with the grooms last initial on one side of the box. Fill the boxes with your candy or any other small favors that you decide to give to your guests. You could even put small shot glasses in these fancy little favor boxes. Next tie a piece of the white ribbon around the box so that the sticker is still showing. Tie it around the bottom with the bow tied on top.

You could place these favor boxes in a circle on top of a circular mirror with the initial facing out towards the guests. This way the favor boxes can double as centerpieces for the table as well. This can cut down on the cost of the centerpieces, simply add a little wedding confetti or some rose petals to finish the look.
