GLASS OR PLASTIC BOWL: First you will need to get a large glass bowl. You could also use a large plastic punch bowl, if you are worried about it getting knocked over and broken. Whatever bowl you choose to use, make sure it is clear to see the content inside of it and be sure it is large, about the size of a punch bowl. It could be a little smaller than a punch bowl if you wish, or you could make several small versions of the centerpiece to be set around in different places in your home and make one large version to set on your table to bring the look all together.
PLASTIC EASTER EGGS: Next you will need to go to the store and purchase some plastic Easter Eggs. Get pastel eggs if you would like or you could get the brighter colored ones. You could also get the little tiny one to fill in the the normal size. This would be cute. Or if you are making a large bowl display, you could use the large plastic Easter Eggs to fill it. The choices are all yours.
CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: Along with the plastic Easter Eggs pick up a strand of Christmas lights. Or you could use some Christmas lights that you already have at home, but if you want to glue your display together, you may want to buy a new strand of lights.
CLEAR GLITTER: Also pick up a can of clear spray glitter while you are at the store. This adds to the sparkles of this beautiful Easter Egg centerpiece.
PUT YOUR EASTER EGG DISPLAY TOGETHER: The first thing to do to start making this Easter Egg display is to spray glitter on all of the plastic Easter Eggs you are going to use. This makes the color show through, but also gives them a little sparkling touch. Once the glitter has dried, you can start arranging your display.
First take the female end of your Christmas lights and place it in the bottom of the bowl, you can glue it into place if you are wanting to glue this display together. Use a clear craft glue that will not show. This might be a good choice, because the Easter Eggs are so light that they may not hold the lights in place where you want them.
Then start pulling the strand of Christmas lights towards the outer edge of the bowl. Start placing some Easter Eggs on top of your first ring of lights, then lay some more of the lights on top of the eggs, then add more eggs. Continue these steps until the bowl is filled with the lights and eggs.
Be sure to leave enough cord hanging out of the bowl, so that you can plug the lights in where ever you choose to set your Easter Eggs display. Now your display is done and you can plug it in a watch it sparkle.
