St. Patrick's Day is celebrated by many and the Irish tends to come out in all of us. Kids love to celebrate this holiday as well. It's a fun excuse to get dressed up in green and treat ourselves to a little something extra. This year make a beautiful St. Patrick's Day flower arrangement to set on your desk or give to someone as a gift. Here is how to make your own.

ITEMS NEEDED: Tall clear glass vase or plastic will work as well, as long as it is clear. Some festive flowers, think "green" when picking out your flowers. If you can't find any green flower, use a color that will look nice with green, like purple or pink or even red. Then you will need to get a couple bags of green St. Patrick's day candy. You could also mix it up a little by getting two bags of different shades of green or a bag of white and a bag of green candy. If you cannot figure out what kind of candy to get, M&M's are always a safe choice. Get little green heart shaped candy or any other kind that you like or can find that are green.

MAKE THE FLOWER ARRANGMENT: Once you have the supplies you need you can make your flower arrangement. You could use fake or real flowers, but remember that real flowers won't live very long in this arrangement, because there is no water, so you may want to make it only one day or so before St. Patrick's day.

To start making your arrangement, simply fill your large vase with all of the green candy that it can hold. Next you will need to make sure the stems on your flowers are short enough so that the flowers can go all the way down into the vase and set right on top of the candy. Once your stems are short enough, you can start arranging the flowers into the candy. Make sure that the flowers are arranged evenly and all set right down on top of the candy.

Now your beautiful St. Patrick's day arrangement is done. Your beautiful flower arrangement is fun and festive to give as a gift or set in your office. It brings out the beauty of the holiday with the green colors that are used. Kids would also love to help make this arrangement or receive it as a gift for St. Patrick's day. Consider using a plastic vase if kids will be helping or getting the flower arrangement.
