YOU WILL NEED:
* 1 cup and 2 Tbls. sugar, divided
* 3/4 cup water
* 8 oz. pk Philidelphia cream cheese
* 1 egg
* 1/2 to 1 inch thick slices of toast
PREPARE THE STRAWBERRIES AND SAUCE: Make the strawberry sauce by combining 1 cup of sugar with 2 Tbls cornstarch in a small sauce pan and stir in water until smooth. Then add your strawberries and bring to a boil. Stir and cook for about 2 minutes or until thickened, then remove it from the heat and set aside.
PREAPARE THE CREAM CHEESE STUFFING: In a mixing bowl beat the cream cheese and confections sugar together until smooth.
PREAPARE AND FRY THE FRENCH TOAST: Once the cream cheese stuffing is mixed, get 6 slices of thick bread and use a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut them into heart shapes. Top the 6 slices of your thick bread with the cream cheese mix. Then top those 6 slices of bread with 6 more slices of bread cut into heart shapes. Once you have them stuffed, you can mix the egg, milk, and 2 Tbls sugar in a separate mixing bowl. Once the egg mixture is mixed up, start dipping your stuffed french bread. Coat both sides of the heart shaped bread with the egg mixture and then place in the frying pan with some non-stick spray or use a non-stick pan. Fry on both sides until golden brown.
SERVE IT UP: Once both sides are golden brown the french toast is done frying. You can then remove them, as they get done, from the frying pan and place them on a plate to be served. Smother them with the strawberries sauce and strawberries and top with cool whip if you would like. Serve this yummy breakfast with some chocolate milk or orange juice to top it off.
