1 can (8 ounces) black olives, drained
1 jar (7 ounces) green olives, drained
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup salad oil
1 small onion, sliced
1 clove garlic, sliced
glass jar, clean. 1 quart size
To prepare; split the olives slightly, place in clean glass jar with the other ingredients.
Cover jar tightly and shake.
Refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight so the flavors mix.
Use olives in the salad of your choice, or eat alone as a party or snack food. They are delicious either way.
Tips: Make the night before a party or special meal or picnic.
Don't throw away the seasoned oil and vinegar from the glass jar when the olives are gone, instead use it as a dressing on another salad.

Wow, this DOES sound easy! I never considered soaking olives to get an onion/garlic taste. Great idea!
