I wouldn't want anyone putting needles all over my body if they were not trained to do so. An acupuncturist inserts very fine needles, sometimes in conjunction with electrical stimulus, into the body's surface. This process usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour. At the end of the session the acupuncturist may prescribe herbal therapies for the patient to use at home.

That is another reason you want to make sure the one sticking the needles into you skin is certified. If they prescribe you herbal remedies you want to ensure they know what they are prescribing and that it will help you and not hurt you. Y

You need to know that your acupuncturist has been taken step by step through the process of training to be an acupuncturist. This process is more than 5,000 years old. So you want know that the tradition alive with it being tainted by someone pretending to be certified. Acupuncture works because of energy lines that run through the body, determining our mental and physical well- being. So you want should want to know that this person very much knows what they are doing on the principle alone that they are messing with needles around your body, but also because of this fact just said.

You want to know if they know your body organs and their functions, you'll also want to know if you go to a regular doctor and are diagnosed with something, that the acupuncturist knows what you are diagnosed with and that they know exactly what that is. It may be if they don't know what it is or never heard of it. Then you should probably not see that acupuncturist.

It is very interesting that most people under treatment do not feel the needles going in. You want to know you acupuncturist is certified because they only know where to put the needles and how far to stick them in your skin. Plus they know that the needles have to be sterilized to. Unsterlized needles can lead to serious infections and diseases.

Here are some more reasons you want to know that your acupuncturist.

When the needle is being inserted an internal organ could be damaged. Or the area where the needle was put could become infected. So you want to know the person doing this process is a professional. So the chances of this happening are slim to none.
