Get Off To a Good Start
Give your child a day off from school and take them to a museum. The day will be filled with education and excitement, and will have their little face lit up all day! Remember how excited you were to go on a field trip to the children's museum?
If you are not able to grant your child the day off, you can brighten their day by bringing them goodies like cookies or cupcakes to share with their class. They will be happy that you surprised them with the sweet treats as well as appreciate the attention they get from their classmates.
Spend Quality Time Together
When the two of you have left the museum, or they have been released from school, treat your child to a movie at your local theater. They will feel like the center of attention if you let them pick the movie you will see and the snacks that they would like to eat. If you would prefer to spend the night at home, rent a few movies at your local video store and relax with some snacks.
Add an Addition to the Family
Here is a very special Valentine's gift for a very special child. Parents of children with special needs, or a child in need of a companion, should consider adopting a pet. The unconditional love that the pet will give your child will boost their confidence and increase their physical activity.
