Makeup for the Green Eyes

Brooke
Green eyes are a gift! In fact, green eyes are the rarest of them all. Less than 2% of the global population possesses them. Many of those who do have green eyes though, don't know how to make them POP! To do that, all you need is the right makeup. Mind you, that doesn't mean you have to go out and buy Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, or some other expensive designer. Drugstore makeup or possibly even the makeup you already have will work just fine. It may not seem like a big part of it, but concealer does make a difference, especially under the eyes where many people have bags/dark circles.

So first off, concealer can be extremely hard to choose. You have to figure out what color you are, what company you want to buy it from, etc. Or you could save a whole bunch of time and buy something like Almay smart change that changes to your skin color. All you have to know is overall if you are pale, regular or dark. These shades might have different names though for different companies. Shades in Almay for example typically go by light, light medium, and medium, light being the lightest and medium being the darkest.

Next, you'll want to have some really good eye liner to intensify the eyes. Black can be a little much at times, especially if you're looking for a casual makeup look. Black tends to overpower the color of your eyes so instead of the beautiful green, people will be drawn to the black below, and or around them. Graphite grey and dark brown can really outline the eyes when used correctly. Many people apply eyeliner to just under the bottom lid, and that's one way to do it. If you're tired of that look though, you could try sliding the eyeliner tip along the bottom inner lid back and forth until a skinny but clear line is made. You could also try doing that to the top inner lid to make eyelashes look fuller. Both may feel funny at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's no big deal.

Now for mascara, this can also be hard to pick. There are so many brands, and within those brands, so many kinds. The problem most people have is clumping. To avoid clumping, go for the rubber bristles. They are flexible and most often leave you with the fullest, and longest eyelashes. My favorite would have to be Cover Girl Eyelights and Lashblast. Each Eyelights has its own special color that makes each eye color pop. There's one for green, blue, brown, and hazel eyes. For example, for blue eyes, they chose black ruby, and the brush eliminates clumps. You should probably try a combination of these tips to find the perfect look for you. Even then, it's good to switch it up every now and again.
