Makeup Product Review: Make Up for Ever Lab Lip Shine

Make Up For Ever (commonly known as MUFE) is a makeup brand that exhibits avant-garde and modish excitement. It is a brand that allows women (and men) from across the globe to be exposed to diversity and miscellany. If you are looking for a product that is inventive, yet remote, you are destined to not only love Make Up For Ever, but value it much more so, as a result. Make Up For Ever is compared to Mac Cosmetics and although there are a lot of similarities to the makeup brands, they are both completely different.

When shopping at Sephora recently, I had the opportunity to discover one of Make Up For Ever's newest products, the Lab Lip Shine, which is the newest lip gloss product introduced by this vastly underrated makeup line. I was pleasantly surprised at the selection, that I was not hesitant to purchase it. In fact, I purchased several.

PROS

If you are looking for a simple lip gloss that provides you with an easy to use applicator, you are going to love Make Up For Ever's Lab Lip Shine. I enjoy this lip gloss because it's very similar to most lip glosses that I own, except that the brush is a little smaller on the end. I am not a fan of the huge brushes that come in some lip products because it makes the application messy.

The texture of this lip gloss is outstanding. It is lightweight, yet highly pigmented. It is also moisturizing and long-lasting. I notice that most lip glosses that do possess these sort of qualities tend to have a sticky kind of content to them, but not this lip product.

One of the reasons to love Make Up For Ever's Lab Lip Shine lip gloss is the fact that it is available in an array of different colors, as well as, finishes. In fact, there are over 30 shades to choose from, in 3 different finishes. The finishes include diamond, metal, and star. The diamond lip shine is more of your shimmer type of lip gloss, the metal lip shine is more of your chrome type of lip gloss, and the star lip shine is more of your pearl type of lip gloss. I find that out of all of the finishes, I can't decide on a favorite because I love them all equally. I must say that out of the all of the lip shines that I have purchased, I tend to wear "Star Collection - S4" the most which is a beautiful pink, nude pearl.

This fascinating additive to MUFE is brilliant because it contains natural camelina oils, as well as, authentic mother-of-pearl particles that work with other amalgams to create vibrancies and shine. I think this is one of the reasons I am so captivated by this lip gloss product.

CONS

If you are someone who doesn't like flavored lip glosses, you will probably not like Make Up For Ever's Lab Lip Shine lip gloss. On the packaging it doesn't state that it's flavored, however; it is. It isn't too overpowering (I actually like it, it is like a soft apricot/peach kind of flavor/smell), but one of my friend's tried the product and she said what turned her off about it was the flavor to it.

The coverages vary upon finish, meaning not every finish will give you the same coverage. The metal gives you the heaviest coverage of all of the finishes, whereas; the diamond gives you the lightest coverage. The star (or pearl finish) gives you the a medium coverage. If you are looking to purchase a metal finish that is light, you will not like this lip gloss simply because the coverage of the metal finish is heavy.
