Makeup Product Review: Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

There is nothing worse than spending your valuable money to waste on less than perfect makeup. Not only do you waste your money on an item you will only throw away after finding out it's junk, but you could also mess up your completion with a poor product.

Right now we will look into mascara products. Today's mascara product in Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara. In this review you will learn about the packaging, texture, color quality, and pricing, how long it will stay applied.

A thick-long container with a screw off lid with a pink bottom and green top (hideous coloring). Once you unscrew the lid and remove the brush, you will find a sparse equipped lash brush. The bristles are fat and various (there are about 9 fat bristles protruding from this brush and they are not closely compacted).

Color Quality: *** (3 stars of 5)

The coloring with the Great Lash Mascara is okay, but not wow. You can get this mascara in Navy Blue, Black, Brown, and Black/Brown. If you are looking for a vivid, crisp color - avoid this mascara for sure. The colorings aren't that great and a tad washed out when you first apply it and it fades throughout the day.

Texture: * (1 star of 5)

Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara is a mess when applying. The texture is very wet and it runs all over when you apply it. Wetness is a good things when applying mascara, but not this wet! And it takes forever to dry so blinking during the drying process will tends to put little marks on your skin around the eye area. To top off the wetness, Great Lash weighs down the lashes and clumps them together. You could give this product five stars if you like clumped together lashes.

Application Life: * (1 star of 5)

If you are on the hunt for a long lasting mascara, do not get this mascara! Great Lash Mascara seems to last a maximum of 2 hours before it beings to fade in color. Also, after this mascara finally dries - it soon flakes off covering your eye area in little color flecks.

All-in-all this Great Lash Mascara has a 1.8 star rating for an overall (read the following to find out why this mascara got the rating it did): Flaky, wears away fast, color disappointment, poor lash brush, sad - runny texture.
