If you love makeup but hate spending money on products just to find they are worthless, you have come to the right place. I am a complete makeup guru and buy and review hundreds of products each year. So if you are unsure of what a makeup product will turn out to be like, check out my list of reviews - you may just find what you are looking for.

Right now we are going to look at Maybelline's Dream Liquid Mousse (Classic Ivory: Light 2). This is a foundation product, but how well does it hold up to the average day? During this review we are going to look at the packaging, texture, color, coverage, and application life.

NOTE: I have personally tested all makeup products I review.

Packaging: ***** (5 stars of 5)

I am absolutely in love with the packaging! This product comes in a glass - cylinder container with a plastic-light tan glass top. What I like most about this packaging - the top turns to lock. You don't have to place a protective capping over the lid because you simply turn and lock the product. This packaging is portable and light. You could easily fit Dream in a small purse or makeup bag. Dream Mousse comes in a 1 FL ounce container and is packed full of product.

Texture: **** (4 stars of 5)

Overall, I really like this foundation because it is easy to apply and light weight but everything good has at least one thing bad about it. While Dream Mousse goes on with a breeze, it tends to leave an oily type appearance if you don't blend it well. If you use a makeup sponge, wet it with a little water, and apply the foundation onto the sponge then onto your face - it looks a whole lot better. Also dust a little translucent powder over your face for a finishing touch and you'll be good to go! This foundation does not appear to seek out fine lines and wrinkles or melt into crevices. Make sure apply this foundation downward because it will amplify little hairs on your face if you don't.

Color: ***** (5 stars of 5)

The Dream Mousse I have is Classic Ivory: Light 2. I have found this to be a little light for my skin, medium, but I still love it. It gives my face an amazing glow and flawless look. Many darker foundations have an orange appearance to them, but this is not the case with Classic Ivory: Light 2. Make sure if you are going a little darker than your natural skin tone with foundation, you blend evenly onto your neck and chest/shoulder areas.

Coverage: **** (4 stars of 5)

If you look at the label, you will see that it says "Airbrush Finish" and this is exactly what you will achieve. This is very light coverage but it gives you a very natural, even skin tone texture, and healthy glow. If you are looking to cover a couple freckles here and there, this will do the trick. If you have a lot of freckles and want them all covered, this is not the foundation for you. I like to use this foundation over a mineral foundation powder. I use the foundation powder as a base and Dream Mousse as coloration. I've had bad sunburns on my shoulders before and now I have small freckles all over my shoulders; I use the mineral powder and Dream Mousse and you could never tell I have small freckles.

Application Life: **** (4 stars of 5)

Timing the application life - I got about 7 hours of max coverage. Now I did decide to try this foundation over a primer and I got approximately 9 hours out of this foundation. After about 5 ½ hours, you will begin to see areas on you face that peer through but not too bad. If you are going to go to a water park or somewhere that you could get wet - stay away from this foundation. You will get streaky looks running down you face if it gets wet.

All-in-all, it's not too bad of a foundation. If you need quick, easy, and light coverage - I say go for it. This foundation received an overall rating of 4.4 stars of 5 (read on to find out why this product was given this rating): the bad - does not do well with water and not the longest application life; the good - fast and smooth application on the go, portable casing, and good coloring.
