Right now we are going to focus on SheerCOVER's Duo Concealer. Just to let you know - you must visit www.sheercover.com and become a member to order this product. During this review we will go over packaging of the product, texture, application life, and coverage.
NOTE: I have personally tested all beauty products I review.
Packaging: ***** (5 stars of 5)
Very nice, compact packaging. In a small, clear plastic, circular, flip open container, the SheerCOVER Duo Concealer provides two sets of concealer (different colors but in the same skin tone range). The Duo Concealer has a lighter form of concealer for your skin tone as well as a darker. The light is met for fall or winter when there is less sun and you're skin is becoming less sun kissed; the darker concealer is for spring and summer when you're getting sun and a sun kissed look. Both concealers are in good sized palettes and they go a long way.
Texture: ** (2 stars of 5)
The texture of the Duo Concealers is okay, but not great. It's met to be creamy, and it is, but I also found it to be a bit too moist. Once applied to the skin - it doesn't stay in place very long before it begins to run and find every little crevice and wrinkle. This product is also not very good for people with dry skin because it tends to clump around any dry skin. I tried this product during the winter when I had dry skin around my lips and a little above my eyes, and it only amplified the dry skin it touched.
Application Life: ** (2 stars of 5)
Application life is not very impressing; it's not a complete disaster but it is a disappointment. I found the Duo Concealer to last about 2 hours max (this is not good when it comes to concealer because you need it to stay put to cover those problem areas). A good concealer should last you at least 5 or 6 hours.
Coverage: *** (3 stars of 5)
Coverage starts off good, but soon after applying it fades into this light semi-coverage cream. The color of Duo Concealer is a nice strong color, but, once again, it only lasts a little while before it fades.
All-in-all, if you are on the go a lot and need a concealer to stay - keep clear of this concealer and save your money. This concealer got an overall rating of 3 stars (read on to find out why this concealer got the rating it did): The bad - Runny texture, wears off quickly, amplifies dry skin, okay coverage; the good - it's nice to have two different concealers in one but for the same skin tone, compact container, and nice color at start.
