When shopping at Sephora recently, I discovered the Givenchy's Blush Gelee Jelly Blush. This is a new product that has been introduced by Givenchy and it is a Sephora exclusive, meaning you can only purchase it at Sephora. I have been a fan of several products from Givenchy, so I was attracted to this product. What made me intrigued by this product was the fact that the blush was a jelly texture.
I am so use to creams and powders textures, that I wanted to try something different. (Which we all know there is absolutely nothing wrong with trying something new from time-to-time.) Another reason I found myself being drawn to Blush Gelee Jelly Blush is the fact that the color was something that I could get use to, as the avowal on the label said the look of "pinched cheeks".
PROS
If you are one that is looking for easy applicator, you are definitely going to love Givenchy's Blush Gelee Jelly Blush. The foam applicator is so convenient, yet efficient, it makes the entire application incredibly simple.
The color is pigmented, so you are able to build color without this product making a mess. Whether you want to create a natural look or a more dramatic look, this blush allows you to do that. I am an NC42 in MAC Cosmetics shades, which is more on a darker beige wavelength. My skin undertone is more cool. When I applied the "Candide Pink" I was reluctantly surprised how visible Givenchy's Blush Gelee Jelly Blush was.
Then I applied this to my skin, after priming my face and applying my foundation, I noticed that this fabulous addition to Givenchy lasted the entire day for me. I am a huge fan of the application. If you are looking for a blush that is long-lasting, you are ordained to love this one.
CONS
There is only one shade and that shade "Candide Pink." This pink shade will not go, let alone show up with every skin tone. My friend Helena, who is African American, is NC50 in MAC Cosmetics shades, so her skin is more of a dark brown with pink undertones. She bought this blush and it didn't show up on her skin at all.
RATING - 89%
The Givenchy Blush Gelee Jelly Blush is $33. It is limited edition, you want to purchase this beauty product while you can. You can purchase this fine, high-end blush at Sephora. Would I purchase this product again? There is a distinct possibility.
