Makeup Product Reviews: Josie Maran Magic Marker Argan Liquid Liner

I remember when Josie Maran was a model for Maybelline. When I first saw her, my first thought was, what a stunningly beautiful woman. One thing I remember was that she looked fairly flawless in her pictorials, however; she looked even more beautiful, in person. I was highly intrigued by how she maintained that same level of aesthetics in person, as she did her pictures, so I decided to do my research, only to discover the key ingredient to be argan oil.

Argan oil is one of the key ingredients that contribute to beautiful skin and youthfulness. It is made up of five very important fatty acids that are completely natural and work as an excellent moisturizer, as well as, antioxidant, so your skin is ordained to be hydrated when you use anything with Argan oil in it. I love the argan oil because it has proved to have less chemical reactions to your skin than olive oil, which is one of my favorite products. Although Argan oil is a rarity, it does exist and that is one of the reasons to love Josie Maran's cosmetics because this important compound is found in many of them, including the Josie Maran Magic Marker Argan Liquid Liner.

This fantastic addition to Josie Maran is moderately new to the beauty market as of late January/early February 2011. I recently discovered the Magic Marker Argan Liquid Liner when shopping at Sephora. I was a bit skeptical about trying this product, however; I realized that despite my uncertainty, I love trying new things.

PROS

The applicator is quite simple, as opposed to many liquid liners on the market today. It is more pen based, so applying this product is easy. If you are looking for a liquid liner that is easy to apply, you cannot go wrong with Josie Maran's Magic Marker Argan Liquid Liner.

The tip of the liner itself is thin, so the actual application itself is easy to apply. If you are looking for easy application, you cannot go wrong with this liquid liner.

The color "Ink" is a stunning, rich black shade. I noticed that this wonderful addition to Josie Maran, is heavily pigmented and if you decide to apply this after your eye shadow, it is quite visible. This is also great for building color, as well.

If you are looking for a liquid liner that is long-lasting, you are going to love the Magic Marker Argan Liquid Liner. I was really impressed with the fact that it stayed on. I didn't apply any eye shadow primer before using this product, so I can only imagine how long-lasting it is when I would apply that particular product.

The product itself goes on smooth, yet light. You can smudge it and it will not make a mess. If you are looking for a liquid liner that is more smooth, you are going to love Josie Maran's Magic Marker Argan Liquid Liner.

Because Josie Maran products are all natural, this product is free of parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, and other synthetics. You could sleep in this liner, although I wouldn't recommend it. If you are someone who believes in natural cosmetics, you will appreciate this product.

Josie Maran cosmetics are not tested on animals. They are ethic conscious, so if you are someone against animal cruelty, you are destined to not only love this product, but appreciate it more so.

CONS

If you are looking for any shades of liquid liner, other than black, you are not going to want to purchase this product right now. There may be a distinct possibility that Josie Maran may manufacture more shades and/or colors in the future of the Magic Marker Argan Liquid Liner, but as of right now, the only shade available is "Ink".

The product itself contains Argan oil, so it contains an array of different fat components. When a product contains numerous fat components, it tends to be more on the oily side. If have oily skin, you are not going to want to use this product. Even if you use primer, there is an over 50% chance it will not last on your lids.

The tip of this liquid liner is thin and may be too thin for those that are looking for an efficient dramatic look. Liquid liners are unique because they all possess a tip that is different. Although I am content with the actual tip of this liner, if you are one that wants a powerful look, rather than a natural look, you may not be content with this liner.
