Recently, when shopping at Sephora, I uncovered that the Sephora Collection has introduced a new foundation. The foundation is called "Perfecting Cover Foundation". When it comes to foundation, I always find myself being unbelievably choosy. My skin is on a combination wavelength and I tend use an array of foundations that just simply do not work, let alone work for me and my skin.
When looking at the foundation, one of Sephora's fine associates approached me explaining the product, emphasizing that the product is fairly new, and went on to say that she could match me, if I had some extra time. So, I decided to take her up on her offer.
PROS
One of the best things I love about Sephora's Perfecting Cover Foundation is the fact that it is full coverage. When I visited Sephora and was matched, I had a few minor breakouts due to stress. I was out of concealer, so I had to rely on foundation to cover the unexpected. This amazing addition to Sephora truly covered my breakouts, leaving my skin sublimely moisturized, as a result.
This foundation is non comedogenic (meaning - it does NOT clog pores or contribute towards acne), as well as, oil free, so it is a foundation that is available for just about every skin type under the sun. The label also states that the Perfecting Cover Foundation was tested under dermatological control and passed the test.
Another reason to love this remarkable supplement to Sephora is the fact that it is available in 12 shades. The lightest is "05 Porcelain" and the darkest is "65 Deep Ebony". If you are uncertain of what your shade is, you can visit Sephora and get matched. Although I was matched with "35 Bronze" I discovered that I am "30 Sand" which is a lot like NC42 in Mac Cosmetics.
When I read "free of parabens" on the label, I was kind of shocked. Although cosmetics are scientifically safe in theory, but I loved a lot about this product is the fact that it is free of parabens and other synthetics, making it ultimately natural and good for your skin, as a result.
CONS
If you are looking for light coverage, you are not going to find it with this foundation. Although the Perfecting Cover Foundation is non comedogenic, it is still full coverage.
When applying Sephora's Perfecting Cover Foundation after putting on my foundation primer, I noticed that it lasted a long time. However; when used alone, it tends to kind of fade throughout the day. If you don't use a foundation primer, before applying this foundation, it isn't going to last long.
RATING - 88%
The Sephora Collection Perfecting Cover Foundation is available at Sephora for just $22. Would I recommend this to everyone? No. Would I recommend this product at all? Yes. Would I purchase this product again? Quite possibly.
