For all you makeup guru's out there, you know the difficulty of choosing a makeup online. It's never certain if the product will be worth your hard earned money or not. If you're looking to purchase makeup online, keep an eye out for the product review on my page.

I have been a makeup guru all my life and have been testing and reviewing products for the last five years. Each review is broken down into easily understood categories. Today we're taking a look at Coastal Scents Dark Camo Quad Concealer.

Casing: (4.5 stars out of 5)

Coastal Scents Dark Camo Quad Concealer comes in a circular plastic casing with a pop up/down lid. There are four different section to this concealer (thus making the quad). In each section, there is a different colored concealer; each working together to make a perfect blend of concealer for darker skin tones.

I really like this quad because the casing is small enough to fit in a purse, makeup bag, etc. and it's really easy to use on the go. Each concealer section is packed full of product and a little goes a long way. The reason I gave this area 4.5 stars is because there is no place to put an applicator and some people like an applicator in the casing. I was very happy with this concealers packaging style and product amount.

Color: (5 stars out of 5)

Like I previously stated, there are four different colors in this quad and each are designed for darker skin tones. The colors consist of white, a medium beige, chocolate, and a dark chocolate. These are all matte colors.

Now you may be wondering why there is a white in this concealer quad if it is designed for darker skin tones. The white is meant to be used as a highlighter in the corner of eyes to brighten up the eye area. Some people also use it to highlight the bridge of their nose to help create a slimming affect. No matter how you use it, it is a nice addition to the collection and is good to have on hand.

I really enjoyed these colors. Each are very natural colors and you can mix and match colors to fit your tone exact.

Product Texture: (4.5 stars out of 5)

I really like the texture of this concealer. It is very creamy and easy to blend. I use my ring finger to blend in the product instead of a concealer brush because I find it easier to blend in the product. If you prefer to use a concealer brush, then opt for that option instead.

Some people may have problems with creasing and other may not. It will all depend on the individuals personal skin type. If you have oily skin, you will more than likely experience creasing problems. The best way to prevent this is to apply a light loose or pressed powder over the concealer.

It only takes a little product to cover a problem spot. If you have a larger blemish that needs covering, I would recommend dabbing the product on with your ring finger instead of using a brush to cover it.

Application Life: (5 stars out of 5)

This is honestly the longest lasting concealer I have ever used. I got approx. 7 hours of full coverage out of this concealer which is highly impressive. When looking for a concealer, you want one that is going to cover and last you throughout the day and this concealer does the trick.

If you want this concealer to last a little longer with better coverage, I would recommend applying face primer, then the concealer, and then apply a powder (whether it be a loose powder, pressed powder, or a light mineral foundation. It will help absorb skin oils that could cause running or creasing of the concealer later on.

Overall - this is a great concealer. It doesn't cost much at all and you get a good amount of product for the price. I highly recommend this to everyone with a darker skin tone. This product received an overall rating of 4.8 stars out of 5.
