For all you makeup guru's out there, you know the difficulty of choosing a makeup online. It's never certain if the product will be worth your hard earned money or not. If you're looking to purchase makeup online and have no idea if it will be worth it or not, check here for more info!

I have been a makeup guru all my life and have been testing and reviewing products for the last five years. Each review is broken down into easily understood categories. Today we're taking a look at Coastal Scents' Dual End Eyeshadow.

Design: (5 stars out of 5)

There is not much to the design of this product. This eyeshadow comes in a pencil form (much like a pencil liner but much thicker). On one end of the pencil is one color and on the other end is a corresponding color.

Colors: (4.5 stars out of 5)

I like the colors available but with some pencils should be paired differently then what they had been (just my opinion). I really do like the fact that one end has a shimmer effect while the other end is a matte tone. They really do complement each other.

There are a total of 24 colors in the entire set. Now this does not mean there are 24 pencils (2 colors on each pencil, so 12 pencils available in total).

Texture: (4 stars out of 5)

Dual End Eyeshadow pencils have is a little rough to the touch but they are a cream. They feel on the dry side after a couple times of applying. Some even felt dry on the first application. The best way to avoid the dry feeling is to keep them covered at all times. Try to warm them up a little with your hands if you can before you apply it to your lids (it will help you have a smooth application).

There is some creasing so I would apply an eyelid primer before you apply the shadow. There is not much more you can do to prevent the creasing.

It is not the easiest task to blend these shadows. It is rather difficult. If you are interested in blending multiple shades, you may want to look elsewhere.

Application life: (3.5 stars out of 5)

I got approx. 4 hours of full wear out of the Dual End Eyeshadows. If you apply a primer, the shades will last a little longer. The reason I did not give this section a lower rating is because it is easy to apply these shadows on the go.

With a primer you may get approx. 5.5 hours of full wear or a little longer. It depends on your personal skin type too. If you have oily skin, your shadow is more likely to crease and smudge.

All-in-all, this is not the best product Coastal Scents has come out with. Dual End Eyeshadows got an overall rating of 4.3 stars out of 5. If you are new to eyeshadow and want to try something other than a powder, I would encourage you to give this a shot. Each person has their own opinion and may have their own way of getting a product to work better for them than other people can.
