Makeup Review: Coastal Scents' Natural Green Eye Quad

I have been a makeup guru all my life and have been testing and reviewing products for the last five years. Each review is broken down into easily understood categories. Today we're taking a look at Coastal Scents Natural Green Eye Quad shadow.

Packaging: (5 stars out of 5)

I really enjoyed Coastal Scents Natural Green Eye Quad's casing because it is very easy to transport and use. This quad comes in a black casing equipped with a mirror on the inside lid for easy application. On the right side of the quad is a small sponge tipped applicator and on the left is four color palettes.

This quad casing is small and convenient and would easily fit into a makeup bag or purse. You don't have to worry about the case coming open and your shadows going everywhere because this is a clamp open/shut casing.

Color: (3.5 stars out of 5)

Moving onto color - you will notice this quad is designed for the specific use of individuals with green eyes. Now does this mean if you can't use this quad if you don't have green eyes? Not at all. But the color tones will help bring out the color in green us and give that "pop".

The colors in the quad are medium plum purple, light beige, medium peach, and a shimmery gold. All colors are shimmer palettes and I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that. You need some matte for depth. If you are okay with shimmer, by all means go ahead and purchase this quad but if you don't like shimmer I would highly recommended you stay away from this quad.

All-in-all, these are very pigmented and overall beautiful colors, but it would have been very nice to see some natural mattes.

Texture: (5 stars out of 5)

I rarely have a complaint about Coastal Scents shadow texture. It has a soft, silky feel to it (not harsh on skin at all). When choosing an eyeshadow, you don't want it to be rough at all because your eyelid skin is very delicate and you can cause pre-mature wrinkling if your makeup is too rough.

These shadows are easy to use dry or wet and very easy to blend.

Application life: (4.5 stars out of 5)

Application life with this green eye quad is long lasting. I haven't had any problems with creasing but they do fade at approx. 5 hours of wear. I would recommend using an eyelid primer for a little longer where. Other than that, I would say it is a great shadow.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a shimmery quad for green eyes - I would recommend this quad to you. It adds a nice pop to your face and brings out your eye color.
