For all you makeup guru's out there, you know the difficulty of choosing a makeup online. It's never certain if the product will be worth your hard earned money or not. If you're looking to purchase makeup online, keep an eye out for the product review on my page.

I have been a makeup guru all my life and have been testing and reviewing products for the last five years. Each review is broken down into easily understood categories. Today we're taking a look at E.L.F.'s Studio Line Cream Eyeshadow.

Product Casing: (4 stars out of 5)

Each eyeshadow comes in a .35oz glass jar accompanied by a black screw on and off lid with the E.L.F. brand name. The biggest complaint I hear from individuals - the casing is rather large. The entire jar is not filled with product and the size distorts the product amount, but don't worry - a little shadow goes a long way. How long the amount of shadow last you depends on how often you apply and how much you apply. On an average basis of applying in modest amounts and periodically, this shadow can last you up to four months. Always unsure you are concealing the shadow with the lid when you are not using it or it will dry out.

Product coloring: (4 stars out of 5)

One of the biggest categories when it comes to shadow are the colors available. Many people like to spice up their looks with different colors and create their own unique look. I am sad to say since this shadow just came out, there are currently only four colors available. The current available colors are Candlelight (a shimmery white), Dawn (a light brown/tope color), Bronzed (a medium brown/bronze), and Eggplant (a medium purple). All colors are shimmer; there are no matte colors available at this time. Each color is very pigmented and vibrant. The colors available would be perfect for everyday wear or you can mix them up to create a look made to party.

Product Texture: (3.5 stars out of 5)

There have been mixed feelings on the texture of these shadows. Some say they are too dry and do not blend well and others say they are creamy. After getting these shadows, I see where the mixed reviews come from. Some of my shadows were on the dry side when I opened them and others were a creamy, rich texture. For my dry shadows, I used my finger to blend up the product and heat it up. It did the trick. If you feel the product is too creamy and creasing in your lids, I would suggest using a primer before hand or applying a light amount of translucent powder over the shadow after application.

Product Life: (4 stars out of 5)

These shadows do last a long time. I was impressed. When I used a primer under the shadow, I got approx. 6 hours of full wear before fading began. When I didn't use primer, I got approx. 4 hours of full wear. Some may say there are no life to these at all, but for the price it's a great application life value.

Overall review - This is a good product to have at hand if you love shadows. If you are not much of an eye makeup person and thought you would try these out, they may frustrate you a little in the beginning. Cream shadows are always a little more difficult to blend and apply the way you want in the beginning. This is a good product for the cost and I would recommend it to you.

Average star rating for product - 3.9 stars out of 5
