Ordering makeup online is risky. You don't know how the product feels on your skin, if you like the quality, and so much more. There are questions that you want answered before you throw money into a product.

I am here to answer your questions about makeup products before you purchase. I have personally purchased and tested each product I review to optimize your overall opinion.

Right now we are going to take a look at e.l.f.'s Corrective Concealer. During this review we are going to discuss the colors, texture, coverage, and application life.

Coloring:

There are actually four colors to this concealer, making it a concealer quad. The colors include, nude, beige, lilac, and green. There is only one corrective concealer tone available, which includes the above colors.

The colors are very nice and subtle. Not overpowering and fake looking. It would be nice if e.l.f. offered different base tones other than nude, because nude doesn't work for darker skin tones.

All colors are matte and have no shimmer. You don't have to worry about a fake, makeup look.

Texture:

Here comes the downside for this concealer. The texture is horrible! Each concealer color is separated into its own pan. The colors are gorgeous when you first open the container, but they feel fake when touched.

Did you ever get a child's makeup kit when you were little? Did the makeup feel like plastic? That's what you get with this concealer.

There is a way to fix that plastic feeling, but prepare to tear up your makeup. I took a small bobby pin and stirred the concealer. Once stirred, I used my finger to finish stirring and warming up the product. Afterward, the concealer remained a creamy texture.

The only problem now, it creases like crazy. I applied an eyelid primer; it still creased. I applied an eyelid primer, then the concealer, then a translucent powder, and it still creased!

Coverage:

This concealer, once stirred and you can actually use it, provides really nice coverage. It doesn't cover freckles, moles, etc. but it will cover dark circles, acne redness, redness, etc.

I would recommend lightly pressing the concealer onto your skin using a ring finger to help build up the coverage.

All-in-all, this is a nice concealer once you spend a little time and learn how to work with it. If you don't have time to work with makeup or you simply don't want to, this product is not for you. There are other concealers out there that are creamy when you get them, and this is not one of them.
