Makeup Review: E.L.F.'s Glow Bronzing Powder

TommiH
Hey there everyone! I have a new product that I wanted to talk about with you. Today we are going to take a look at E.L.F.'s Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder. During this review we will take a look at the packaging, color, coverage, texture, and application life.

Let's get started!

Packaging:

There isn't much to report in this area. The packaging is pretty basic. You have a small, compact, circle casing with a plastic clip down lid. There is a small amount product, but not too bad since you don't need a lot. There is no personal mirror and it does not come with an applicator nor does it have a place for an applicator.

I would suggest using a powder brush when applying this bronzer so you don't tear the product up and get it everywhere. I will also last you longer because you won't be wasting the product on falling particles.

Colors:
The colors are okay and so is the selection. There are four colors to choose from ranging from light to dark. You can get: Luminance, Sun Kissed, Warm Tan, and Matte Bronze. Be careful with a couple of these colors because they don't always come out looking good. If you get warm tan, please not it tends to be on the orangish side. If you get sun kissed, you are looking at a reddish tint.

Texture:
The texture is very dry and a little on the rough side. It doesn't have the "silky-smooth glide on" feeling you would hope for in a pressed powder. I had a big problem with a "powder-like residue" that I couldn't seem to win against. I try moisturizing and applying a primer, but it didn't help.

This product seeks out dry skin patches, fine lines, and wrinkles. It will cake up on your face if you apply too much (even meaning two think layers). You get a very fake looking facial appearance after applying this bronzer.

Application life:

This had to be the most frustrating area of them all. I got maybe an hour out of this bronzer before it had faded and wore off. I tried touching it up and applying a thin new layer; it was gone within the same amount of time and it caked up when touching the bronzer up.

All-in-all, this is a frustrating makeup to work with. Yes, it's only $1, but really not worth the hassle. If you are looking for a bronzer, I would continue looking for a different brand because you will just waste your time and money here. You can find this bronzer at eyeslipsface.com for $1.
